Marta beat Kiki Bertens 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the second round of Wimbledon!
Marta was great, her serve wasn't broken all match. She toughed out a close second set. At 4-4, Marta was down 40-15 on Bertens' serve, she came back and broke in the game and then held in the next game to finish it off.
I'm very proud of her. It was a big win. She will play either Sevastova or Diyas in the next round. They will be playing Wednesday. So they will have to play back-to-back days, which hopefully helps Marta.
I think Marta can win that and maybe make it to the fourth round.
This could be a great opportunity for Marta, and I think she's starting to play well on grass. We'll see how it goes, what's most important is she is healthy and I think she's getting better with each match.
Let's keep it going! You got this Marta!
